Video production for service oriented businesses in St. George, UT

Calaway Air Conditioning and Heating needed a video for their website and also wanted a presence on youtube. One great thing that Calaway uses in this video was a customer testimonial. Customers will outsell your sales people 100 to 1. Get your happy customers on camera telling their story and it will do wonders for your business.

Use customers to tell/sell your story.

Olga Goddard of MyFavoriteFlowers.com is a floral designer in St. George, Utah that understands the power of the “customer testimonial”. In this video, Olga has the bride, groom and The Bell Tower owner tell why she is the best floral designer in the area. Have your customers sell you!

Kokopelli Golf Course in Southern Utah

Kokopelli Golf Club is the newest golf course in Southern Utah. 40 minutes from St. George and if you are a golfer, it’s worth the drive. Once again, West and Spence from Business2Business Promotions are making things happen and had me up shooting this beautiful course.

Challenger Soccer Camps – Promo Video

Challenger British Soccer Camps have been around for about 25 years. They started out as a rag-tag group of guys coming over to the States to coach soccer in the summer. That handful has turned into over 900 coaches every year traveling over from the UK to help grow the sport of soccer with the youth of America.
-
This particular Challenger camp was shot in North Ogden, Utah in June of 2009. Matt Fannon from Challenger championed the video and so it is only natural to have him as the main narrator.
-
dmgFilms tries to capture the essence and feel of companies with event videos like this one and hopefully that goal is accomplished. The Challenger group was great to work with and hopefully we will be able to collaborate on other projects. The music was all from local artists in the southern Utah area (Dennis Gardner, City of Ashburn and Shallow Day).

Mesquite Ford – 30 sec tv spot

Mesquite Ford from dmgFilms on Vimeo.

This spot was produced for Mesquite Ford/Lincoln/Mercury and commissioned by TCS Advertising (St. George, Utah). The main challenge with this spot was incorporating photos that had been taken by someone at Mesquite Ford. It is always a bit tough to try and use still photos, especially stills taken by a non-professional, and still give it somewhat of a motion feel.
dmgFilms decided to incorporate the transition lines (created in LiveType) to portray movement without using motion video.
The music is by Shallow Day.

Let’s Quilt – business profile video

Teryl McKnight, owner of Let’s Quilt, along with her husband John, have built a great hub for Long Arm Quilting. Not only is it a first class training center, but it is a club house for all those quilting fanatics that want to spend every waking hour quilting.

I had a neighbor lady in her 70′s who’s husband died. When she was asked if she missed having him around, she answered, “sort of, but now I can quilt whenever I want.” When I heard her say that, I knew there was something special about quilting.

It was great getting to know Teryl and John and to feel their passion for the industry and their desire to help others. And who knows, maybe someday I’ll be threading the needle.

Virgin River Skimboard Co. – Promo Video

Virgin River Skimboard Company has been around since the summer of 2008, but a couple months ago Chan Nay took over the research and development and has a goal of creating the best inland skimbaord. Chan (25) is the father of four, has a solid background in woodworking and is a visionary. His shop, located in the St. George Industrial Park, is small but packed with all the makings of a board company that will rival Victoria, J. Gordon, Dashboard, and any other flatland skimboard manufacturer.

Mike Gardner (38), dmgFilms owner, was instrumental in bringing skimbaording to St. George in 1988 and has pushed the skimboarding scene in Southern Utah ever since. Mike & VRskimz crossed paths in May 2009 and Mike could see promise in the fledgling company. dmgFilms produced this video mainly as a marketing piece to help Chan pitch Big5 and Sport Chalet.

This video is hosted by another new company, www.utahbiztube.com. UtahBizTube is helping to promote business and create awareness in the Utah market. Thanks UBT.

Good luck Virgin River Skimboards. And may you always skim on!

Eden’s Keep video

Eden’s Keep is a fantastic new themed suite located in Washington, Utah. Randy Paul (owner/sculptor) wanted to build a place where couples could go to completely get away from the world and focus on each other. In this video Randy explains his goal with this project. We also hear testimonials from the Christensens of Steamboat Springs, Colorado and Debbie Peysar, the event coordinator at the beautiful Villa Gardens in St. George, Utah (www.vintagecelebrations.com).

It was great working with Randy on this video project and trying to portray the vision that he has for the couples who are able to experience this work of art. My wife and I have already booked Eden’s Keep for our next anniversary. My wife is excited to say the least.
