West Taylor and Spencer Measom have taken St. George by storm. They have a created a channel that plays solely in local St. George hotels. The channel is designed to show the hotel guest what there is to do in St. George. Benja’s Thai & Sushi just opened a second restaurant in St. George and wanted to be showcased on the new Business2Business TV channel. I love the food at Benja’s so it was fun to see the new place and meet Benja for the first time. I would highly recommend Benja’s if you are in St. George, Utah and are in the mood for some excellent Thai or sushi.

Mark R. Robertson, founder and creator of ReelSEO.com, says “Why add video to your site’s product pages? Because simply put, product videos sell products. While shoppers who actually view a product video are buying at a higher rate than those who choose not to watch the video, what has proven even more interesting is the fact that people who do NOT watch the video are converting at a significantly higher rate than shoppers viewing the same product page without the option for video viewing.” (Read more of this article at http://www.reelseo.com/videos-sell-products-watch/.

I stopped in to Biker’s Edge this summer to see a friend of my wife’s who works there and ended up shooting a business video for them. It’s always great shooting a business that has a lot to shoot and a lot going on. I could tell that Biker’s Edge was a quality place and all the guys on staff were really cool with me running my camera off. If you are into any kind of biking and are in the Kaysville, Utah area, make sure to stop in and check it out. www.bebikes.com

Mesquite Ford from dmgFilms on Vimeo.
This spot was produced for Mesquite Ford/Lincoln/Mercury and commissioned by TCS Advertising (St. George, Utah). The main challenge with this spot was incorporating photos that had been taken by someone at Mesquite Ford. It is always a bit tough to try and use still photos, especially stills taken by a non-professional, and still give it somewhat of a motion feel.
dmgFilms decided to incorporate the transition lines (created in LiveType) to portray movement without using motion video.
The music is by Shallow Day.

Teryl McKnight, owner of Let’s Quilt, along with her husband John, have built a great hub for Long Arm Quilting. Not only is it a first class training center, but it is a club house for all those quilting fanatics that want to spend every waking hour quilting.
I had a neighbor lady in her 70’s who’s husband died. When she was asked if she missed having him around, she answered, “sort of, but now I can quilt whenever I want.” When I heard her say that, I knew there was something special about quilting.
It was great getting to know Teryl and John and to feel their passion for the industry and their desire to help others. And who knows, maybe someday I’ll be threading the needle.
