Mesquite Ford from dmgFilms on Vimeo.
This spot was produced for Mesquite Ford/Lincoln/Mercury and commissioned by TCS Advertising (St. George, Utah). The main challenge with this spot was incorporating photos that had been taken by someone at Mesquite Ford. It is always a bit tough to try and use still photos, especially stills taken by a non-professional, and still give it somewhat of a motion feel.
dmgFilms decided to incorporate the transition lines (created in LiveType) to portray movement without using motion video.
The music is by Shallow Day.

Teryl McKnight, owner of Let’s Quilt, along with her husband John, have built a great hub for Long Arm Quilting. Not only is it a first class training center, but it is a club house for all those quilting fanatics that want to spend every waking hour quilting.
I had a neighbor lady in her 70’s who’s husband died. When she was asked if she missed having him around, she answered, “sort of, but now I can quilt whenever I want.” When I heard her say that, I knew there was something special about quilting.
It was great getting to know Teryl and John and to feel their passion for the industry and their desire to help others. And who knows, maybe someday I’ll be threading the needle.

Virgin River Skimboard Company has been around since the summer of 2008, but a couple months ago Chan Nay took over the research and development and has a goal of creating the best inland skimbaord. Chan (25) is the father of four, has a solid background in woodworking and is a visionary. His shop, located in the St. George Industrial Park, is small but packed with all the makings of a board company that will rival Victoria, J. Gordon, Dashboard, and any other flatland skimboard manufacturer.
Mike Gardner (38), dmgFilms owner, was instrumental in bringing skimbaording to St. George in 1988 and has pushed the skimboarding scene in Southern Utah ever since. Mike & VRskimz crossed paths in May 2009 and Mike could see promise in the fledgling company. dmgFilms produced this video mainly as a marketing piece to help Chan pitch Big5 and Sport Chalet.
This video is hosted by another new company, www.utahbiztube.com. UtahBizTube is helping to promote business and create awareness in the Utah market. Thanks UBT.
Good luck Virgin River Skimboards. And may you always skim on!

I have been looking around for a video hosting website with chapter marker capability in their video player. Found yea-nay.com through twitter and saw that they were using a video hosting site www.wellcomemat.com that had chapter marker capability. This makes it very nice for people who want to see a particular part of a video, but don’t want to watch the whole thing. Immediate examples that come to mind would be training and how-to videos, real estate videos, demo videos, resume videos, etc.
Take a look at the adidas Futures video below. adidas Futures is a recruiting camp and this video, produced by dmgFilms, is a marketing video for the Futures program.
